Monkeys are as irrational as humans or vice versa

During last year in school our professor Richard Wahlund made an experiment with us and tested our rationality. The very same experiment has now been done with monkeys. The result from our class was not only identical with what other researchers have found but also identical with how the monkeys acted – we evaluate in relative terms. We are much more risk taking when we are about to lose money than when we can earn it.

Laurie Santos has done research where she tries to find the answer to why humans act irrational and talk about this during a very interesting speech. If you are interested in economics and how markets work you should really see this! Enjoy!
